Planned outage of certain MnSCU enterprise system. Select system-wide applications will be unavailable from approximately 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, until approximately 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8; however, the system will be brought up and notifications will be sent out as soon as we are finished.
This service interruption is needed to replace an older data storage/server subsystem, which is going end of life, with a new database subsystem (Exadata from Oracle). This new subsystem will help handle the growing data storage demands of our system, improve performance, and help to ensure smooth semester startups.
Applications that will be affected include:
- ISRS
- eServices
- DARS
- u.select
- REPL
- Warehouse
- BRIO
- APPS
- www.mnscu.edu webpages
- Campus applications that touch ISRS
Locally-maintained campus applications will not be affected by the outage, unless they require access to ISRS.
STUDENT IMPACT: During this time, students will not be able to submit applications, search for classes, register, or pay for classes.
STAFF/FACULTY IMPACT: All student, faculty, and administrative applications will be affected, including student eServices (web registration, class schedule, web grades, web payment, student housing, etc.). BRIO Management Reports and Dashboards will be unavailable, and REPL data access and ad-hoc queries will not be possible. System applications such as HR-SCUPPS, Finance, Accounting, Student Housing, Student Payroll, etc., will also not be available.
We appreciate your understanding when this type of outage affects access to our systems.
D2L is currently available and running normally.
