MnSCU System Status

11-30-2008 ISRS eServices, CAS, RS25 System Maintenance

On Sunday, November 30th from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM the ISRS Portal web application, CAS and Resourse 25 will be disabled. During this time people will not be able to access Web Registration and E-payment applications, Resource 25 or CAS. We will be using this downtime to perform routine server maintenance.

05:30-08:30 11-22-2008 REPL, RS25, CAS database connectivity problems

A disk volume on the Solaris zone that hosts REPL, RS25 and CAS databases ran out of space at 05:17 11-22-2008.

Existing Oracle database connections were unaffected. Some or most new database connections were denied. Campus applications that use persistent, pooled database connections were likely unaffected.

System managers have determine the cause of the poor disk performance and have mitigated the problem. All services are now available.

11-20-2008 09:15am - eServices Temporarily Unavailable

ISRS and eServices are temporarily unavailable. The problem appears to be related to a poorly performing disk subsystem. System mangers are working on the problem.

ISRS eService Performance Restored

MnSCU IT Staff have identified and mitigated the performance problems. Normal service has been restored.

ISRS eServices and web registration are temporarily unavailable. System mangers are working on the problem. We expect to have the problem resolved in a couple hours.

On Sunday, November 16th from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM the ISRS Portal web application will be disabled. During this time people will not be able to access Web Registration and E-payment applications. We will be using this downtime to perform routine Oracle database maintenance.

The 2009 Desire2Learn Maintenance and Upgrade down time schedule has been announced. Please plan you D2L usage accordingly.

D2L Unavailable from 5-9 AM on Sunday, Nov. 9

D2L will be unavailable to users from 5-9 AM on Sunday, November 9, when routine maintenance will be performed to the D2L database indexes.  This maintenance will help to continue a high performance level for users, but it will not result in any changes to the user interface.
