MnSCU System Status

2009-05-03 Data Center Shutdown 04:00 - 18:00

The University of Minnesota will be shutting down cooling systems at the West Bank Datacenter for repair of a cooling leak. This will affect all Enterprise Applications. As currently planned, the shutdown will begin at 4am and last no longer than 6pm. Applications affected include ISEEK, DARS, CAS, eFolio, Desire2Learn, ISRS, eServices, CEB, Resource 25, RARE, Media Streaming, APPS, Lyris Mailing Lists and other miscellaneous applications. Status updates will be via this web site and RSS feed.

ISRS and eService System Status

ISRS and eServices are currently available and running normally.

04-17-2009 11:55-13:30 ISRS and eServices Web Apps Unavailable

ISRS eServices and web applications were unavailable from 11:55 to 13:30. The outage was caused by a database file system error. The file system was recovered. No data was lost.

Cancelled - 04-19-2009 ISRS and eServices Maintenance

This maintenance window has been canceled.

On Sunday April 19 2009 , MnSCU's ISRS and eServices will be unavailable from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Application managers will be performing routine maintenance.

04-06-2009 ISRS and eServices Maintenance

On Monday April 6 2009 , MnSCU's ISRS and eServices will be partially unavailable to users from the 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Application managers will be performing routine maintenance.

04-02-2009 05:45 -06:55 ISRS and eServices Web Apps Unavailable

ISRS eServices and web applications were unavailable from 05:45 to 06:55. This unscheduled outage was cause by a hardware failure on a database server. The failed hardware was removed and spare hardware was brought on line.

04-01-2009 18:25 ISRS and eServices Web Apps Unavailable

ISRS eServices and web applications were unavailable from 18:25 to 18:35. This unscheduled outage appears related to an overloaded I/O system that affected a database server. Normal performance has been restored.
