2011-10-30 System Wide WAN/Internet Outages 10:00 - 15:00
The system wide internet outage is temporarily resolved. Internet service from most internet service providers to MnSCU, the State of Minnesota and the University fo Minnesota was restored at about 13:00. Internet service from several Minnesota based local and regional internet providers was restored at about 15:00.
The University or Minnesota is backing out the changes they made this morning. No more outages are expected.

We are experiencing wide spread Internet connectivity issues affecting many MnSCU campuse, ISRS, eServices, D2L and other enterprise applications. The problem has been escalated to the State or Minnesota and the University fo Minnesota.
An early morning configuration change by the University of Minnesota is being backed out.

2011-10-30 D2L QA Unavailable 10:00-19:00
D2L QA Unavailable Sun Oct 30 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
The QA down time has been extended to resolve some issues that we are seeing on our storage systems. Our Storage Problem is just about resolved. Taking longer than we had hoped. We should have QA on line by 7:00 pm.
As part of the fix for file path issues on D2L Prod, the corresponding QA sites will need to have the files resnapped on Sunday, Oct 30.
This will not affect any work you've done in QA (calendar entries, dropbox feedback, discussion posts, DOME settings, etc). It will affect files in QA. Any files that were uploaded to QA that were not also uploaded in Prod will be gone after the resnap. The files in QA will then be a replication of the files that currently exist in Production.

D2L QA will be unavailable from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2011. Windows updates will be applied.
Update: QA was available again as of 8:40 AM.

2011-10-23, 6:00-8:00AM Enterprise Applications Unavailable
Scheduled System Maintenance: 2011-10-23, 6:00-8:00 AM ISRS and DARS applications will be unavailable due to scheduled system maintenance.
The system is expected to be available by 8:00 AM.
STUDENT: During this time, students will not be able to submit applications, search for classes, register, or pay for classes.
STAFF: All student, faculty, and administrative applications will be affected, including eServices (web registration, class schedule, web grades, web payment, student housing, etc.). System applications such as HR-SCUPPS, Finance, Accounting, Student Housing, Student Payroll, etc., will not be available.

2011-10-17, REPL System Status
REPL is currently available and running normally.
The new memory hardware has been successfully installed. Hopefully, this proactive and swift hardware upgrade has prevented any unrecoverable data loss incidents from occurring. REPL performance may be slow because of on-going recovery tool processing and database cache not being available.

2011-10-17, REPL - Unplanned Emergency Outage
Operational Data (REPL) - will be unavailable from Noon to 4 p.m. today, Monday, October 17, 2011. Since Saturday night, we have been experiencing memory module errors on the REPL database. It is critical that we address these issues ASAP. This will require the immediate replacement of new hardware and system downtime.
2011-11-04 22:00 – 2011-11-05 10:00 | D2L Unavailable for Upgrade
D2L will be unavailable from 10:00 PM on Friday, November 4 until approximately 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 5. The system will be upgraded to version 9.4.
If the upgrade takes longer than expected, the downtime may need to be extended.
