MnSCU System Status

2012-09-02, 4:30-9:00 AM Planned System Maintenance

Due to enterprise system maintenance starting at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 2, applications such as ISRS, eServices, U.Direct, U.Select, U.Achieve, Fundware, and Hyperion/Brio systems will not be available.  The system is expected to be fully available by 9:00 a.m..

STUDENT IMPACT: During this time, some of the activities students will not be able to perform are as follows: submit applications, search for classes, register, or pay for classes.  Other activities may be impacted, as well.

STAFF/FACULTY IMPACT: All student, faculty, and administrative applications will be affected, including eServices (web registration, class schedule, web grades, web payment, student housing, etc.). System databases and applications such as APPL, REPL, HR-SCUPPS, Finance, Accounting, Student Housing, Student Payroll, etc., will not be available.

2012-08-30, Enterprise System Available

  Several institutions were experiencing registration errors 4:20PM – 4:45PM.  The issue has been resolved and systems are performing normally.

D2L will be unavailable on Sunday, September 2, 2012 from 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM to perform database maintenance on the D2L system. This is part of the routine preparation for the increased use of D2L the first weeks of the semester. Performing this maintenance immediately before and after the semester start week ensures optimal D2L performance for users in the busy first days of the semester.

Please announce this downtime to your users.

D2L will be unavailable on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM to perform database maintenance on the D2L system. This is part of the routine preparation for the increased use of D2L the first weeks of the semester. Performing this maintenance immediately before and after the semester start week ensures optimal D2L performance for users in the busy first days of the semester.

2012-08-20 Degraded Service

 
Statewide internet system performance was degraded for many users for since Saturday, August 18, 2012. Users experienced slow response times and system errors.

System managers continue to troubleshoot the issue.

2012-08-12 05:00 - 07:00 D2L Unavailable

D2L will be unavailable on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM to fail back to the production servers. D2L status updates will be posted at http://status.mnscu.edu/desire2learn/

Please notify your D2L users of this downtime.

2012-08-12 07:00-11:00 Planned System Maintenance - StarID Self Service

StarID Self Service at starid.mnscu.edu will be unavailable during system maintenance scheduled for Sunday, August 12, 2012, beginning at 7:00 a.m., with an expected completion time of 11:00 a.m.  During this time, users may not be able to complete the functions below.

• Activate StarID.
• Retrieve a forgotten StarID.
• Reset a forgotten or expired StarID password.
• Change a StarID password.
• Manage StarID profile.

 Login to eServices and campus IT services that use StarID will NOT be affected.
