Some system-wide applications, including the ISRS, the data warehouse and DARS/u.achieve, will be unavailable from approximately 6:00 AM on Saturday, January 5 until approximately 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 6. Affected services are expected to be restored by 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 6. Campus-hosted applications that rely on ISRS authentication services are affected when ISRS is down.
Applications affected are: ISRS, eServices, DARS/u.achieve, u.select, Event Management Systems (EMS Campus), Virtual EMS, FundWare, ISEEK, Data Warehouse, Accountability, Performance and Planning (APPS) dashboard, www.mnscu.edu, Program Navigator, Resource25 (R25), Course Search, Hyperion/Brio, and campus CAP server-dependent applications.
Applications and systems not affected are: http://status.mnscu.edu, Lyris listservs (email lists ending @lists.mnscu.edu), Enterprise Access Management (EAM; except for Activate StarID, Forgot StarID and Forgot Password), eFolio, GPS Life Plan, PALS (ALEPH), RNT, ImageNow, WENS, SWIFT, the Wide Area Network, Desire2Learn* (D2L) and campus-hosted applications that do not rely on ISRS authentication services.
This service interruption is the result of the University of Minnesota's Office of Information Technology (OIT) shutting down its main data center to perform necessary maintenance, testing, and repairs of facility infrastructure. We appreciate your understanding when this type of downtime affects access to our systems.
*In anticipation of the January 5 downtime, D2L was migrated to our secondary data center on December 23 and will be hosted from that data center until the morning of January 27.
