The system wide internet outage is temporarily resolved. Internet service from most internet service providers to MnSCU, the State of Minnesota and the University fo Minnesota was restored at about 13:00. Internet service from several Minnesota based local and regional internet providers was restored at about 15:00.
The University or Minnesota is backing out the changes they made this morning. No more outages are expected.
We are experiencing wide spread Internet connectivity issues affecting many MnSCU campuse, ISRS, eServices, D2L and other enterprise applications. The problem has been escalated to the State or Minnesota and the University fo Minnesota.
An early morning configuration change by the University of Minnesota is being backed out.
MnSCU Internet connectivity failed for all colleges routed via UofM at approximately 15:45. A Procera bandwidth management device stopped allowing new network connections. The errant device was restarted at 16:35. Connectivity to and from the Internet appears to have returned to normal.
